Paper "Efficient Sparsification of Simplicial Complexes via Local Densities of States" accepted at SIMODS

Our paper Efficient Sparsification of Simplicial Complexes via Local Densities of States (with Francesco Tudisco and Nicola Guglielmi) was accepted for publication at the SIAM Journal on Mathematics of Data Science. Publication is still waiting on typesetting, but a preprint with the final content is available on arXiv.

In the paper, we introduce a novel method of efficiently computing the sparsifying measure for the arbitrary order of simplicial complexes using a quasi-polynomial decomposition of spectral densities (power spectra).
